Comics By Mr. Wahl

Mr. Wahl came in and explained the history of comics and showed how a comic strip is developed. His presentation was awesome! He has challenged the class to keep a comic journal throughout the summer.

Roman City

Completed Roman City

Rome was not built in a day and neither was our sugar cube city. After planning students began to build each part of the town. Progress slowed as we moved on to other units however students continued to build on their portion whenever the opportunity arose. As you can see our little Roman village came out quite well!

School Photo Point

Bio Diversity Day

Students in all grade levels shared what they have learned with the community and other grade levels. Our class shared how to use a field guide to identify bugs, our bug collection, and what the different body parts are of a bug. It was an exciting morning watching the students show off their hard work. One parent made our day by commenting "Waterville elementary does some serious science."

Insect Data Entry

Letter Home

Dear Parents,

We had a very awesome radical week. First we are getting ready for our Biodiversity carnival on Monday that you are all welcome to come to. The carnival will start at 10:25 and last till 11:30. All the classes will be sharing what they have done this year for our project. Today we went to the Badger Mountain ski hill. We took our picture at our photo point and we noticed an amazing difference. Lots of grass and flowers grew in three weeks. We caught tons of bugs like bumblebees and a cricket. Oh and also 56 caterpillars. This week was very busy because we had to finish our Douglas Creek project which came out really cool. You can look at our work at www.douglascreek.blogspot.com . As you can see the week was not boring and very fantastic!

Sincerely,

Your soon to be fourth grader
